
Matthew P.d. Brown, Play Czar and Manager
Matt is President and Play Czar of big BOING. He took a hiatus for about 2 years to be President of Klutz and SVP of Scholastic where he led effort to stabilize, reshape and prepare Klutz for new growth. Before co-founding big BOING, Matt was part of the LeapFrog, Inc. senior management team where he served as VP of Business Development, and co-created and led the Internet Division. Matt innovated and co-invented dozens of products and brand platforms that ultimately generated over $100MM of revenues during his time at the company. Additionally, he spearheaded new business initiatives internationally and domestically, creating strategic partnerships in Japan, S. Korea and the U.S. that generated over $50MM in annual revenues.
Matt likes to make candy as a hobby, which he turned into an occupation when he worked at Scharffen-Berger Chocolate Maker, leading the launch of their confection and retail businesses. In 1995, Matt co-founded Primordial, LLC, creator of the award winning Zoob® building system. In another phase of life, Matt was a successful attorney in New Mexico and a clerk for the Honorable Oliver Seth, U.S. Court of Appeals 10th Circuit. Matt is an advisor to PBS Kids as well as other non-profits focused on youth and play (ReeLife and Playing for Keeps). He is also on board of advisors for GoAnimate! and Social Chocolate/Super Better Labs.
Mostly, Matt is a very proud dad and happy husband.
